Mauka to Makai Adventure

This adventure offers you some of the best Maui has to offer as we travel “Mauka to Makai”, from Mountain to Ocean. We will start the day hiking up Waihe’e Ridge to amazing 360-degree views of Kahalawai to the West and Haleakala to the East. From 3,000 feet we will peek into the appropriately named valley of Waihe’e (“Hidden Water”). We’ll then wander down through native ‘Ohia lehua trees to discover a series of secluded waterfalls and swimming holes. After relaxing here for a bit, we’ll venture down to sea level, where we can soak up the sun while bathing in warm tidal pools. Finally, we’ll enjoy lunch in charming Wailuku town, feeling grateful to have seen firsthand why Maui has recently been named “Best Island in the World” by Conde Nast Traveler for an unprecedented 15th time. Hidden Waterfalls Adventure

This adventure is perfect for lovers of nature and Hawaiian culture. We will frolic in secluded waterfalls and in babbling streams. We’ll wander through mystical forests filled with birdsongs. You’ll learn about Maui’s volcanic origins, and the changes brought to the island by the first Polynesian settlers. You’ll be offered some Hawaiian ethnobotanicals, including ‘awa (Piper methysicum; known as ‘kava’ elsewhere in Polynesia). We will also discuss some of the environmental issues facing the island since Western contact in 1778. We will enjoy lunch in charming Wailuku town before making our way to magical ‘Iao Valley, a place revered for both its natural beauty and cultural significance.
West Maui Circle Adventure

This adventure will take you all the way around the West Maui Mountains. On the way, you'll have opportunities to snorkel with green sea turtles, bathe in warm tidepools, and witness the power of the ocean at Nakalele Blowhole. You can relax and enjoy amazing views as we drive the narrow(!) road along this rugged coastline through the historic village of Kahakuloa before enjoying lunch in charming Wailuku town.

This adventure will introduce you to some of South Maui's hidden gems. At La Perouse Bay, you'll learn about the natural and cultural history that shaped this area as we scan the ocean for pods of dolphins that frequent the area. This is not your typical Hana tour. Unlike other tour companies which all visit the same locations, No Ka Oi Adventures will take you off the beaten-track to show you several hidden gems in East Maui, including secluded waterfalls and hidden beaches. We'll stay in a private cottage in Hana town before exploring the Kipahulu area on the second day of this 2-day adventure.

Big Island Adventure

After flying to Hilo, we will spend our days exploring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and the rainforests of the Puna District. Visit gorgeous Kehena Beach, popular with naturists and gay men. Soak in volcanically-heated pools, and enter natural Steam Vents. Other options also include visits to Kalani Honua Retreat Center (www.kalani.com), a drive up the Hamakua Coast to Waipio Valley, and a visit to the summit of Mauna Kea.
